How bail works in Gem County

Gem County does not publish a bail-posting procedure online. The jail is staffed 24/7 — call (208) 365-4484 to confirm how to post before you go (note: the jail's commissary rule is money orders only, no cash or cards, but the county doesn't say whether that applies to bail). Licensed bail bond agents can also arrange posting.

Idaho allows licensed bail bond agents; a bond agent posts the full bail for a non-refundable premium they quote up front. You can also pay the full amount yourself directly to the jail or court, and it is returned when the case ends if all court dates are met (minus any fees the court applies).
