Elmore County jail visitation and bail

Visiting someone at Elmore County Detention Center

Elmore County uses video visitation, on-site at lobby kiosks or remotely from a computer or smartphone. Create an account at inmatesales.com (or use the lobby kiosk) and schedule at least 24 hours in advance. Inmates get three free on-site visits per week. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and visits are monitored and recorded.

The county does not publish fixed visiting hours — available slots appear in the scheduling system.

How bail works in Elmore County

Bail is posted at the jail (2255 East 8th North) three ways: through a licensed bail bond agent, by cash bond in exact change, or electronically through AllPaid (the jail posts a QR code). A $10 sheriff's bond fee is added to each bond and must be paid in exact change — detention staff do not keep change. After processing, the released person meets the bonding party in the lobby.

Idaho allows licensed bail bond agents; a bond agent posts the full bail for a non-refundable premium they quote up front. You can also pay the full amount yourself directly to the jail or court, and it is returned when the case ends if all court dates are met (minus any fees the court applies).
