Visiting someone at Canyon County Detention Center
Visitation is video-only through the CTel system — no in-person public visits. Inmates get 60 free minutes of video visits per week; remote visits from your own computer cost $0.20 per minute with no limit on visit count. Create and fund an account at inmatesales.com or the lobby kiosk, and schedule at least two hours ahead. All visits are recorded and monitored.
Video visits run 7 days a week: 8:00-10:30am, 12:00-4:30pm, and 7:00-11:00pm (not during an inmate's lockdown time).

How bail works in Canyon County
Per the Sheriff's Office FAQ, you can post bail yourself at the jail (219 N. 12th Ave., Caldwell) with the correct amount in cash — exact change required — or call a bail bond company ahead and have them meet you at the jail. The Sheriff's Office doesn't recommend specific bond companies. Turning yourself in on a warrant? The office suggests 6-7am on weekdays so you can see a judge the same day.
Idaho allows licensed bail bond agents; a bond agent posts the full bail for a non-refundable premium they quote up front. You can also pay the full amount yourself directly to the jail or court, and it is returned when the case ends if all court dates are met (minus any fees the court applies).
