How to get a car accident report in Arkansas

Step by step

1. Wait for the report to be filed. Most Arkansas crash reports become available about ten (10) business days after the crash date, once the investigating officer's report reaches the Arkansas State Police central repository.
2. Open the state portal and pick a mode. Go to https://crashreports.ark.org and choose 'Individual' for a single crash report or 'Bulk' to pull multiple reports by date range.
3. Search for your report. Enter at least one field. The fastest path is the Crash Report Number alone; otherwise use Last Name plus another identifier such as Date of Crash, Driver License Number, or Date of Birth (DOB requires a second field).
4. Pay and download. Pay the $25.00 statutory fee per report by card. If the report is available, it is delivered electronically through the system; use 'Check Order Status' for pending orders.
5. Handle juvenile or missing reports. If the crash involved a juvenile occupant, or the report cannot be found online, contact the ASP Crash Records Section at 501-618-8130 (One State Police Plaza Dr, Little Rock, AR 72209). You may also request a copy directly at the $10.00 statutory rate by mail/in person.

Arkansas State Police / Highway Patrol-investigated crashes are held in the same statewide central repository as all other Arkansas crashes. Retrieve them through the online portal at https://crashreports.ark.org using the 'Individual' search ($25.00 per report). After you get the report

Use the report to support an insurance claim — it documents the date/location, involved drivers and vehicles, insurance details, the officer's diagram, and any citations or contributing-factor findings that your insurer or attorney will rely on to assign fault. Read it carefully and check for errors (misspelled names, wrong driver's license or plate numbers, incorrect date/location, wrong insurance info, or a mistaken diagram); if anything is wrong, contact the investigating agency or the ASP Crash Records Section to request a correction or a supplemental report before you finalize your claim.
